Carole Butcher

Carole has a master’s degree in military history from Norwich University and is a PhD candidate at North Dakota State University. She has worked as a historical interpreter at Fort Abercrombie state historic site in Abercrombie, North Dakota, and has written for Dakota Datebook ( a radio program on Prairie Public Broadcasting) and numerous magazines, including Military Heritage, Armchair General, Civil War Quarterly, and Army.
